11. Data Collector is Unable to Register URL¶
-if all prerequisites have been met from the Install Guide, it’s likely that IIS authentication was changed after the initial install.
-Under the IIS Manager, make sure your authentication settings match the image below.
-Anonymous authentication allows any user to access any public content without providing a user name and password. By default, Anonymous authentication is enabled in IIS 8. This level of authentication must be enabled for Data Collector(s) to communicate with the RAMP Server.
-If you need to make changes to match the image below, check with your security or network team that this isn’t part of a group policy or security update. If it is, they will need to make an exception for the RAMP server to run this way, otherwise your Data Collector(s) will not work.
