Overview

screenLocation

The header bar will display a status icon indicating the current state of the location, its name and the following buttons:

iconLayout Layout – displays the visual view of the location

iconDashboard Home – displays the primary dashboard view

iconProperties Properties – displays a dropdown list of property screens

iconGraphs Graphs – extended graph screen for creating custom graphs and exporting graph data to a spreadsheet

iconAlarms Alarms – displays the current alarms and alarm history

iconRefresh Refresh – refresh the asset data

iconReports Reports – create PDF, Word, or Excel reports, as well as scheduling recurring reports

iconAdvanced Advanced – advanced options

iconDashboard Clicking Dashboard will display the primary dashboard view.

Properties – Power Properties

These settings determine how various power values are calculated. If a location has sub-locations, its power values will be summed up from the sub-locations.

Total Power Formula

  • Sum of All Devices + Sub-Location Values - Sum of all non-power providing devices and the Total Power of sub-locations.

  • Sum of Utilities + Sub-Location Values - Sum of all power consumed by utilites and the Total Power of sub-locations.

Total Power Capacity Formula

  • Sum of Utility Capacities + Sub-Location Values - Sum of all utility capacities in this location and the Total Power Capacities of sub-locations.

  • Manual - Enter a manual value

IT Power Formula

  • Sum of IT Devices + Sub-Location Values - Sum of power consumed by IT devices at this location and the IT Power of sub-locations.

  • Sum of UPS Output + Sub-Location Values - Sum of power provided by all UPSs at this location and the IT Power of sub-locations.

  • Sum of PDU/RPP Output + Sub-Location Values - Sum of power provided by all PDUs/RPPs at this location and the IT Power of sub-locations.

  • Sum of Rack PDU/RPP Output + Sub-Location Values - Sum of power provided by all Rack PDUs/RPPs at this location and the IT Power of sub-locations.

IT Power Capacity Formula

  • Sum of UPS Capacities + Sub-Location Values - Sum of capacities of all UPSs at this location and the IT Power Capacities of sub-locations.

  • Sum of PDU/RPP Capacities + Sub-Location Values - Sum of capacities of all PDUs/RPPs at this location and the IT Power Capacities of sub-locations.

  • Sum of Rack PDU/RPP Capacities + Sub-Location Values - Sum of capacities of all Rack PDUs/RPPs at this location and the IT Power Capacities of sub-locations.

  • Manual - Enter a manual value

Definitions

  • Total Power: The current total power usage at this location

  • IT Power: The current power usage of IT devices at this location

  • Total Capacity: Total power capacity for this location (Typically the sum of utility capacities, but this can also be manually entered)

  • IT Capacity: Total IT power capacity for this location (Typically the sum of the UPS capacities, but this can also be manually entered)

  • Design Value: Maximum power in kW you want to use at this location

Properties – Location Breakdown

This option will provide an overview of all sub-locations for this location.

Properties – Location Status

This option shows all assets within the location which are not in a normal state.

Advanced Options – Add New Discovery

This option allows you to add a discovery for this location. All assets discovered using this discovery will default their location to the current location.
